Norwegian-American artist, JC Andersen, is a Nashville-based singer/songwriter. He spent his earliest years growing up in Stavanger, Norway before eventually moving to Central Florida. Music has always been a huge part of his life. As a young man, he was introduced to the albums of some of country music’s greatest, falling in love with the songs of artists like George Jones and Merle Haggard. Then in his teenage years, artists like Boyz II Men, Marc Anthony, and Justin Timberlake ruled over his stereo speakers. While attending Bartow High School, he turned his attention to creating and performing music, filling his weekends singing at festivals and other various events throughout Florida. After graduating from BHS, he moved to Nashville.
He’s been on the road, touring with his band mates, opening for such artists as Keith Urban, LeAnn Rimes, Brad Paisley, Toby Keith, Trace Adkins, and many others.
So far, his discography includes two full-length albums, as well as two single releases. The first in 2005, "When the Tide Rolls In", and then the follow-up sophomore album released in 2012, "Where the Weak Get Strong". JC has since released the popular single, "I Go Out" on January 19th, 2018 and now, his newest single, “Number”, released on January 1st, 2020.
JC’s music today is a blend of melodic pop and country music with an anthemic feel. Collaborating with some of Nashville's most recognized songwriters and producers, he continues to make music that is always evolving. With his new single, "Number", co-written with Justin Dukes and Justin Wantz, he brings you a sound very different from any of his previous releases. Wantz, also the producer of the song, has teamed up with JC to bring you a new flavor of music, focused on inspiring the listener to crank up their speakers and sing along.
-You may remember JC as one of the lucky six national finalists on the hit T.V. show “The Next GAC Star” where he placed third overall on the live finale.
-On August 25, 2019, JC was named the NIMA (Nashville Industry Music Awards) “Best Solo Country Male Artist”.
