Soleil is singer/songwriter who combines blues, jazz, soul, and R&B to produce a unique sound she calls Soul Fusion. Her sound is genre-bending, combining modern production, varying vocal styles, and roots in classical vocal training.

‘The name Soleil comes from a band leader I had who would only call me Soul or Solé

because of my social media handle. Soleil stuck because it is the French word for Sun. I am part French, but moreover, it represents the natural elements and the pattern of life – rising, falling, shining on a daily basis.’ -Soleil

Originally from Yonkers, New York, Soleil got her start in music at a young age when she

stood on the ledge of a fireplace and belted her first ballad – a version of ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’ only a 5-year old could sing. She took piano lessons for 8 years, learning how to read music fluently. Soleil’s love for words started in middle school when she began writing poetry. Her early musical influences include Diana Ross and The Supremes, Stevie Wonder, Christina Aguilera, Alicia Keyes, and Jane’s Addiction. As she developed her voice and sound by joining various choruses, artists like Amy Winehouse, Erykah Badu, and D’Angelo became her main stylistic inspirations.

‘No matter what happens, the sun will always rise.’ -Soleil

Soleil currently gigs around South Florida performing cover and original music with several bands and musicians, including her cover band Tracksuit Mafia. She just released her debut single and video ‘Slumber’, and her second single ‘Love's to Blame’ released on December 20th , 2019. Her EP is set to release in January 2020.
