"Overcharged pop punk riffs and fast melodies will suck you right into the Cliffhanger brand. This is my favourite pop punk release of the far, and sets the bar high for the genre in 2020..." – Tamara May, Wall of Sound

Cliffhanger centers on overcoming life challenges and looking for the positives in every situation on their upcoming eponymous EP. Through their message, the Chicago pop punkers will shed light to inspire you to take control and be true to yourself.

The quintet has an impressive past by performing at the Vans Warped Tour, playing sold out shows, self-releasing 4 EPs, music and lyric videos, and sharing the stage with soul-crushing Belmont, nudist punk rockers Keep Flying, We Were Sharks, Light Years, and many more.

With their eponymous release, vocalist Matt Meindl shares, “As we wrote the new album, the key themes were the internal and external battles which focuses on the confrontations that arise while growing up, coping with loss, finding self-awareness, and contending with the present political landscape.”

Guitarist Mike Centracco adds, “We thought carefully on the message that we wanted to share on our self-titled record. Our message is important, but we wanted to ensure that it was being communicated properly. It’s captivating and bursts with melodious tunes that will keep reminding you to be yourself.”

Cliffhanger’s “Hollowed Out” and “The Oaks” were recently featured on Spotify’s New Punk Tracks and Skatepark Punks playlists, accumulating 40K+ streams and a heap of new followers. Their self-titled album release show sold out Downstairs at Subterranean, and they’ve received additional support on Chicago’s 101WKQX.
